Alton and Alton Bay is located at the southern tip of Lake Winnipesaukee, New Hampshire. You will find mainly small cottage for your vacation rental accommodations here, providing a quiet, relaxing visit. Visit the railway station which has transformed into the information center. You can take a sceninc lake cruise on the M.S. Mount Washington as it takes passengers on in Alton Bay from May through November (wear your mittens!).
